Delhi Public School Dhenkanal
celebrated the Earth Day on April 21st 2018 in a grand way. It was
a great day to showcase the environmental concerns highlights, efforts
to make a green world and evolving the whole school in this noble
purpose. A special assembly was conducted in which students spoke
about the importance of Earth Day in English and recited a poem
in Hindi to enlighten the importance of afforestation.
Mr. Jagneswar Bora the Principal of DPS Dhenkanal addressed the
students and made them aware about their duties in conserving the
earths resources. An awareness rally was organized by Eco
Club of DPS, Dhenkanal. The rally was inaugurated by honourable
Principal, DPS Dhenkanal at the main stadium of Dhenkanal. The students
walked from stadium
to
Laxmi Bazaar and again to Jail Road, Dhenkanal. Students were holding
placards which they had made on their own from eco-friendly materials.
They shouted the slogans stressing on saving the mother earth to
make it a better place to live in. On their return the students
participated in a plantation programme within the school campus
which was headed by Principal, DPS Dhenkanal and the plantation
was done by the students of ECO club..
